𝗦𝘆𝗻𝗼𝗽𝘀𝗶𝘀 – The story set in southern California revolves around 3 young people’s coming-of-age journeys 17 year old Naida grieving over her mother’s suicide. A 21 year old pastor boy Luke Shephard and Aubrey who left her mother’s home to live with her sister and later following their pove triangle.

𝗠𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝗼𝘂𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀 – The writing was simple and flawless. It’s a well written debut novel. (Just telling) I really liked how each character developed into something they never had imagined of. The story was intriguing and there were some really good thought provoking lines I really loved, I’ve mentioned some of them above. The narration was brilliant even tough story didn’t revolved around the mothers they’re constantly part of the story. It truly depicted that in a small town anyone’s business is everyone’s business.
The novel included several topics like teen pregnancy, abortion, physical abuse, estranged relationships in family, friendship, betrayal etc.

The characters always asked one question to themselves what if they had chosen different paths and it’s consequences. I really loved this question because each of us ask this question to ourself at some point in life, Maybe everytime.

Overall I’ve never a read a story like this and I’m definitely recommending it to you as it’s short and won’t consume your time alot.
